Let’s Transit to Manila
“Lovers and madmen have such seething brains,
Such shaping fantasies, that apprehend
More than cool reason ever comprehends.
The lunatic, the lover and the poet
Are of imagination all compact:
One sees more devils than vast hell can hold,
That is, the madman: the lover, all as frantic,
Sees Helen’s beauty in a brow of Egypt:
The poet’s eye, in fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.”
William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Weddings have not stopped appearing on my schedule. I am always finding that I would need to pencil in the dates into my calender. Weddings are fun especially when it is held overseas. You get to experience a different celebration and become part of their wonderful day.
This special wedding held in Alabang, Philippines was spectacular. The Morning session held in a beautiful church with the most beautiful bridal train I have ever seen. The beading and workmanship done by Joel Escobar is what you call a wedding attire. Do not even get me started on the bride’s dress. I was very lucky enough to have my halter dress done by the ingenious Filipino designer.
We Filipino’s love to dance and celebrate. I have to thank my mother for that because that evening reception was the right place to break into a samba. Actually we all broke into a flash dance.
The venue , truly breathtaking . The kind of scene that stops you in your tracks, making you blink a number of times, do a little eye rub and then go in awe. If I could best describe this, Imagine a snippet from the Midsummer’s Night’s Dream in Shakespeare. Woodland extravaganza, Fairyland realm by the coo of the moonlight.
FernBrook Gardens certainly sets my standards up to a new level for any upcoming do’s. I remember the hassle of that perfect venue to the big day! but at the same time the memories created within the space is the utmost importance.
What do you guys feel, Have you been blown away by a venue?
