“You often hear that a design object has to be funny, but what the hell does it have to be funny for? It has to be useful! – Achille Castiglioni
The right sentiments of a great designer and an eye opening trip to inspire designers. Those wanting to experience the inner workings of the great italian designer AchilleCastiglioni is just a metro away at the Cadorna F.N stop.
Planning your day for Milan for those interested in art and design, do book a time to visit where the best option is to keep a full afternoon for the Studio tour and the La Triennale di Milano. All within walking distance.
I can assure that this would not be disappointing. So, without giving away too much and skimping on my experience. Sharing with you the moments that made me smile :
Sitting on an original, Primate chair Zanotta made in 1970 for his wife whom we had the pleasure of being in company with.
Surrounded by his original works both items of inspiration, working prototypes and the original design furniture. I had butterfly flutters every-time I sat down on his chairs or touched anything in that studio.
The beautiful stories behind his creation , both inspiring and motivating.
Well, hope you enjoyed the photos and do drop an email to those visiting Milano for the Fondazione Achille Castiglioni
Ciao and have a great weekend !
